Born Dec. 7, 1954 in Zagreb, Croatia. Bachelor Degree in Electrical
Engineering in 1978 from the University of Zagreb. In period from 1978
- 1982 employed as a development engineer in the company "Rade Koncar
- Industrial Electronics" and later in "Rade Koncar Institute",
where was developing electronic control and measurement equipment.
Since 1982 have been employed as a scientific assistant on the University
of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, Automation
Department. In 1986 obtained Master Degree in Electrical Engineering
from Electro-technical Faculty - University of Zagreb, with a theme on digitized
electronic measurement equipment.
In 1987 was granted the research scholarship for the Florida State
University, Tallahassee, Florida. The research was done in parallel decomposition
of control algorithms.
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering obtained from Electro-technical Faculty -
University of Zagreb in June 1990. The thesis subject was the parallel
processing of robotics control algorithms.
Assistant professor (docent) since 1997., professor from 2002.
Holding lectures of "Electrical & Electronic Engineering"
and "Microprocessor Control Systems". Involved in research in
the following fields: computer control of processes and robots, parallel
processing and computerized measurement systems.
Involved as a project leader and co-author of several software application
projects in data acquisition, evaluation and process control, in German-Croatian
joint research project (for Ipsen International). Programming in Delphi Pascal,
with some knowledge of C, FORTRAN and Basic.
Speaking English and French, some German, Italian, and Spanish.
Member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and IEEE
Computer Society (since 1988).
